Why do I have to play in Recitals?
It’s seems unfair. You need to learn how to play the
piano and you must also play it in public. It’s scary
for some and fun for others. But there are lot of
similar situations if you think about it. When you play baseball, sometimes you must come up with a great hit to
help your teammates. Under pressure, you may not perform as well as you
know you could. But the next time, you may be able to handle pressure
better because each experience makes you more comfortable in a tough
situation.
So think of your recital as a learning experience. You’ll get through it
more easily if you’re well prepared. And the next time it will be less
scary, you’ll feel more comfortable, and you’ll be on your way to
handling pressure in any situation better. It’s important to be able to give best you have to offer in
anything you do.
