LM Music Studio Policy

Private Lessons

Choose how many lessons you want a week (minimum 4 lessons per month), their duration (minimum 30 minutes), and the language that you prefer (English, Spanish or Portuguese). For children, I recommend an interval of at least one-day between lessons.

30 Minute lessons - $25.00 for each 30 minute lesson (minimum 4 lessons per month)
45-60 Minute lessons available on request for intermediate to advanced students.

Group Lessons

Group lessons (max 3-4 student classes) - $25 for each one hour class (minimum 4 lessons per month)

Annual Group Classes

Special Group classes will be offered throughout the year focusing on various themes. They are an important piece of the LM Music Studio educational experience and every student is strongly encouraged to take part in all the special group courses. The Group classes include:

Performance classes
Music Theory and Ear Training classes
Voice and Piano Duets
Music History class

Missed Lessons

Make-up lessons will not be given for canceled or missed lessons except for those canceled by the teacher. If a lesson is missed, tuition is forfeited. No exceptions. To facilitate a make-up lesson for an expected absence from an upcoming lesson, the student has the option to contact LM Music Studio at least one week in advance to obtain names and phone numbers of other students who may be able to switch lesson times for that week's lesson. In the case of a serious illness that would cause the student to miss lessons for an extended period of time, special arrangements have to be made with the instructor.

Tuition

All piano tuition is non-refundable. There is an initial $30 registration fee.

Payments for all lessons in the month are due at time of the first lesson (minimum amount - $100.00). NOTE: There will be several months throughout the year when 5 weeks of tuition will be due ($125). If payment has not been made, the lesson will not be given. It is suggested that payment be made ahead of time so no lessons will be missed due to a forgotten payment.

Tuition paid via mail must be received prior to the 1st day of the month.

Evaluations

Students will receive a progress commentary in his or her music notebook. Please read it after each lesson and contact me if you have any questions.

Holidays and Vacations

No lessons will be given on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and all days from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day. Any other extended time off should be arranged with the instructor in advance.

Expectations

I expect students to arrive on time or early, prepared for the lesson and ready to learn. Nails should be kept short. All books and materials should be brought to lesson as well as a one-subject wire bound spiral notebook. Lesson books will be purchased from the instructor and payment for the books will be collected with the monthly tuition. The student does have the option to purchase the required books at a local music retail shop. Parking is available in front of the residence on Lacey Lane.

Agreement

By signing this agreement, I hereby agree that Larissa Mulligan and the Larissa Mulligan Music Studio are not responsible or liable for any injuries sustained on the studio premises or the premises surrounding. The Larissa Mulligan Music Studio retains the right to terminate lessons with any student or guardian of student who displays inappropriate behavior or who fails to respect Studio policy. I agree to all of the policies put forth in this agreement and understand that all tuitions paid are non-refundable.
