Why do you have to play in recitals?

It’s seems unfair. You need to learn how to play the piano and you must also play it in public. It’s scary for some and fun for others. But there are lot of similar situations if you think about it.

When you play baseball, sometimes you must come up with a great hit to help your teammates. Under pressure, you may not perform as well as you know you could. But the next time, you may be able to handle pressure better because each experience makes you more comfortable in a tough situation.

So think of your recital as a learning experience. You’ll get through it more easily if you’re well prepared. And the next time it will be less scary, you’ll feel more comfortable, and you’ll be on your way to handling pressure in any situation better.

Because it’s important to be able to give best you have to offer in anything you do. 

Please not the following below:

• Our recital will be at the 95th Street Naperville Public Library branch in 
  Naperville, IL on Sunday, Sept 30th at 2pm and will be informal.
• Not all the students will perform in this event but all are invited to join us.
• It is not customary for the teacher to play at the recital.
• If more than 4 guests are going to come to the recital, please notify Larissa Mulligan.
• If the students want to see the room they can stop by the store any day. Also, they can play the piano few minutes before the recital. The teacher is going to be there around 12pm and the students can play the piano 20-30 minutes before 1:45pm.
• A $20 contribution for the recital room, programs, food, and refreshments is required.

    Our next piano recital will be "The Old West" Piano Recital held at the 95th Street Naperville Public Library.  The date and time are still to be finalized.  If you want any copies of the posted pictures in high quality/resolution please contact LM Music Studio and we will be happy to provide them to you for FREE.  In addition, we hope to have a professional photographer attend our next recital to provide all of our talented participants with professional quality photos to capture the experience for a lifetime.
